1.) Rush
2.) Rush
3.) Rush
4.) Rush
5.) Rush

Rush, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Journey, Metallica.
Not sure if any of my list has been happened or not.

I totally agree with RUSH being in there.
For the inductee, taking one's place in the RNRHOF involves a fee. The gamble is that the publicity generates enough additional sales of CDs, downloads, concert tickets and promotional merchandise for justify the outlay.

- Link Wray!!!!!!!!!!
- Blue Oyster Cult
- Rush
- Robin Trower
- Quicksilver Messenger Service
John Cipollina August 24, 1943 - May 29, 1989

Would these bands be worth a mention?
Rainbow w/ blackmore and dio
UFO w m schneker
Scorpions
B.S. man! None of the great bands mentioned should be in that P.O.S. Rock n Roll Hall of Fame! Those names are too sacred to mix in with those R&B and pop names.
Good trades with: Dominus, Jackson Distortion, Richard, DWVINKY, Notesfeld, Inhuman, Brunogio, SFW, Jolly, Darthphineas,
There is nothing on this earth sexier, believe me, gentlemen, than a woman you have to salute in the morning.
I imagine that, in many cases, it's not a question of ROI but rather one of vanity. I'd be willing to bet that for many inductees, the thought process goes something like, "I have enough money, but what I haven't had lately is a nice ego boost. Oh, look, it's been 25 years -- I can buy one!"

Link Wray
KISS
Ted Nugent
The New York Dolls
Paul Revere and the Raiders
Cheap Trick
But really until they take the Bee Gees out I could give a flying fart

Wow. I'm not even that big a fan of Rush but even I'm surprised they're not in there.
Every love that made me lose my reasoning. Every chord that made my conscience ache. Every day spent counting hours. Well, none of them comes close to singing back a song inside my head.
I remember calloused hands and paint-stained jeans, and I remember safe-as-houses self-belief.

The problem with the R&R hall of fame is that every genre of music from pop to thrash has co-opted it as THEIR hall of fame. Of course, the name does not help...
It is a pop music hall of fame.
And for the record - ABBA is HUGE and absolutely deserves to be there.

Sting ( [as a solo artist] , but at least he did get recognized for his work with the Police).
Nirvana.
Rush.
Depeche Mode.
Guns and Roses.
It is laughable that Rush hasn't made it (they're only the original "progressive" rock band...yeesh...). Sting I think made just as much of an impact with music as a solo artist as he did in the Police (and there are some artists that have been inducted more than once so I elect him as a smart candidate). Nirvana caused a whole new generation of rock. Depeche Mode made electronic music cool. Guns and Roses is one of the most well known rock bands in history.
