"Believe the word, I will unlock my door and pass the cemetery gates"

That's not what I'm getting at. You said x is either y or it's not. That goes for everything, for any combination of x and y.
A rapist is a baseball player, or he's not.
A TV show is cancer-inducing, or it's not.
You see what I mean? Your post conveyed exactly zero information.

Um, OP, you're married - I don't think it matters if you're racist or not at this point. It's not like you could get a black chick now anyhow. I mean, I guess you could, but that would be reckless.
RAVENS - Super Bowl XLVII CHAMPIONS!!!

I am in the camp that it's not racist, just preference. For what it's worth I'm most atttracted to Blondes, Asian girls and Latino girls. I sometimes see a knockout red head too.

Correct.
I'm a firm believer that most everyone is racist to some degree or another. Though I do not hate anyone because of their race, I have seen in myself, at times, a prejudice based on race. It's completely unintentional, and I tell myself that it is wrong which I truly believe. But it's there. I think racism in certain forms is a result of something that is built into us as human beings, fear of the unknown, or fear of things or people that are different. It's something that you have to work on to rid yourself of.
The confusing bit is that there are several different definitions as to what constitutes racism. Such as:
- The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.
- Discrimination or prejudice based on race.
- Discriminatory or abusive behavior towards members of another race.
Many people think racism has to do with the third definition, abusive behavior. That's a pretty narrow definition, and I believe that you don't have to shout racial epithets at somebody to be racist.
The second definition, I think, fits the OP's question to a T. He is discriminating, based on race, which women he finds attractive. I don't think that makes misterwhizzy a bad guy at all, but the way I see it there is discrimination in that.
I don't see it as discriminating AGAINST anyone, it's just preference. I've seen physically attractive and physically repulsive women of all nationalities and skin tones. You can not say that someone is a racist for being physically repulsed by someone they find physically repulsive. That's like calling someone a homophobe simply because they are not interested in dating/screwing homosexuals.
And I don't know what propaganda is being spread around these days, but everyone of all skin colors has the exact same opportunities in America - you just have to put out the required effort. Not more effort than someone of a different skin color or gender (yet another insulting myth), but the minimum required effort that everyone else puts out.

He wasn't asking if it was racist to find ugly women unattractive.
He asked if it was racist to find black women unattractive. It doesn't have to be abusive to be discrimination. All that is necessary is to show preference according to race, and he does.
The homophobic analogy doesn't work either, and frankly is just ridiculous.
Not only an oversimplification, but a falsehood.
Black children in my city have a MUCH lower rate of graduation from high school than white children. Something like 30% lower.
According to your premise, that would be because black people are too lazy to put in the required effort.

I sort of agree, and don't think its racist. Just that facial features that I find un-attractive in women happen to be a common physical trait on black women. It so happens that one of the first girls I experimented with back in highschool was a black girl that I happened to find really attractive, it's kind of a rarity in proportion to other colours of women.
Then again, the girls I find most attractive are Middle eastern and Indian so it really has little to do with the skin colour, more just in the facial features.

Nothing wrong with that IMHO, quite normal actually for many men.
Just let Captain Winky be your guide, because the libido knows no politics. And just as a public service announcement, Halle Berry and Beyonce aren't the only good-looking black women. Seriously.

"Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished." Isaiah 13:16
"Kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves." Numbers 31:17-18

In the words of my great granddad (who was from a very different era) "I'm not racist... I own a color TV"
"It keeps you fit - the alcohol, nasty women, sweat on stage, bad food - it's all very good for you." -Bon Scott
"Let me put it this way: the 5150 will treat
you better than any girlfriend, because it screams louder, it's easier to pick up, and it shuts up when you take your plug out." -Rip Glitter
Is it okay to dislike people of your own race ? Is it okay to say bad things about them ?
I remember an old Captain Beefheart interview, wherein some question came up about colour and race. He replied " Well everybody is coloured ; if they weren't, you wouldn't be able to see them".
also .... is it racist to dislike a chameleon, either all the time or part of the time ?
Lumbering dinosaur (what's a master volume control?)

KGM, are you suggesting that the graduation rate is based on discrimination?
Racism occurs when you justify unequal treatment of people based on the belief that their race will be the primary determining factor of their actions/capabilities.
Whether or not your original statement is evidence of racism depends entirely on your reasoning and determination of attractiveness. I you're talking about a physical preference . . . saying that you typically don't find someone of a certain race very attractive (due to skin colour, frizzy vs straight hair, stronger/weaker physical features, etc. is like saying that you prefer blondes, or you prefer girls with long legs. It's not so much to do with racial stereotypes as it is with simple physical appearance.
If you don't find people of a certain race attractive because in your mind all of them behave a certain way due to their race . . . then yeah, that's racist.
Examples:
- Black girls are hot/(or not) because they have nappy hair (physical preference - whatever floats your boat . . . also not true of all black girls, but whatever)
- Black girls are hot/(or not) because they will steal your stuff if you let them in your house (racist attitude)
- Black girls are hot/(or not) because they are all *****y (racist attitude)
- Black girls are hot/(or not) because they are all incapable of learning (racist attitude)
- Black girls are hot/(or not) because they have darker skin tone (physical preference - whatever floats your boat)
