Holy crap!!! This pickup rocks! It's brighter than I expected, and I'm very glad! It's perfect in mohogany..

Cleans: Chimey and glassy, perfect for me. You can play the most diminished, freaking weird chords as hell, and everything sounds super articulate. Matches great with the DD in the center switch position.

Dirty: This is where I really love it! Perfectly defined and bright, not muddy at all, and not boomy like my old 59n. Every note sounds crystal clear, and sweeps are great. Roll off the volume a bit, and I get a very nice psuedo bluesy tone, or bluesy enough for me. Contrasts perfectly with the DD, again, and that was a big thing for me. The center position is great, I can roll off the neck a bit, and it still gets pinch harmonics like crazy, and riffing still sounds great.

I might update this in a bit, when I have more time to plunk around with it, but this thing is staying!!! Now I need to find something almost identical that won't sound overly bright in my Jackson (alder/maple cap).

Congrats! I like them both, but I prefer the Jazz neck over the 59N. The Jazz name scares rockers off but the Jazz can rock like gangbusters! It's my favorite alnico 5 neck humbucker. Lew

Wow that makes me feel better after not winning that old Schecter Classic with the 59 neck on ebay. I might go buy myself a brand new one with the jazz neck! Glad to hear you like it in yours.

I have a schecter with the Jazz neck and JB bridge and I agree with Lew - the jazz is my favorite neck pick up - its versatile and equally impressive dirty and clean. Nice choice, I think you'll only like it more as you play it more.

Yeah... That pickup kicks ass, doesn't it? I just picked one up for my SG last weekend, and I was absolutely floored by the difference it made. I guess I'd forgotten how much of a difference the original SD's I bought made over the stockers. I also had a 59n that I was replacing, and, though I'm sure the 59 has it's place, In my guitar, the Jazz is leaps and bounds better than the 59.

A friend of mine has a Jazz/Custom in his Les Paul. Sounds awesome. I've been meaning to install a Jazz in the neck of my Strat, but I keep putting it off for other things....I should really get my sh*t together and finish that project.
If you can't play good, play loud.

Oooh, I'm intrigued now! What kind of output does that monster have? Is it vintage or modern voiced?

More vintage voiced, but slightly modern. Output is 7.42, but it sounds great!
