I generally hate Telecasters. The telecaster always seemed to me to be like a strat who wanted to become a Les Paul but the fairy godmother never came. I hate the headstocks. Na, just kidding. I'm being dramatic. Teles just aren't my thing until now. Anyway to make a long story short, I saw this clip and it totally changed my mind about teles. Check this sweet guitar out. MAJOR GAS!

What is that, anyway? A Suhr? It's got two 'buckers and a vibrato bridge. Not exactly a classic Tele but pretty awesome, nonetheless.

Man, I remember when I hated Teles, too. Life was so much easier without all this GAS. Tele GAS is the worst.

i just get annoyed when people claim that the telecaster copies other guitars, its happened before, and just because i know it was basically the first electric guitar made doesnt mean i spend all day and night learning every single fact and then go out of my way to correct people

Yeah but I didn't make that "claim." I said "seemed to be to be like" which is not a statement of fact or claim.

Absolutely beautiful guitar, but 2 buckers + strat style bridge= not a Tele IMO. Tele bridge in combo with the pup/base plate, is what makes a Tele a Tele.

Thats a "tele gib" or if you prefer, a singlecut superstrat

What you've got there is a very, very good guitar player with great hands and great taste. It wouldn't matter what shaped guitar he was playing. Fantastic stuff.

I played a similar Tele from a german luthier some years ago. Strat hardtail bridge and two p90 ... i could not put that thing down.

I have a love/hate relationship with every Tele that I own. They work for all the wrong reasons (in my humble opinion), and they're not very forgiving instruments, but the resulting tone, if you're willing to fight with them, is incredible. This is a pretty cool clip. Gotta love Orange amps, too!
