My first guitar was a Stella acoustic I got second-hand in England about 1966/7 (I was 10 or 11). Knowing nothing about music, i loved it for it's look ... kinda like a campfire guitar, but the red and the black seemed to be like actually looking into an open fire ... deep red glowing embers and black charcoal maybe.
I still have the old Stella, and the impact of how the look of that guitar first affected me is still strong ; I wonder if you can see a recurring theme in this pic, hehehehe

Finally, yesterday provided the right weather, all the preparations were as good as they were going to get and i was able to shoot two good coats of clear and finish them off with a coat of almost straight thinners. So that's the end of the spraying.
I took some pics late yesterday afternoon. I wasn't happy with them, so i took some more this morning (Friday) and i wasn't happy with them either. Later i took some more and got better results. Here's what she looks like now .....
