Randy.
But I would've liked to have seen Dime or SRV on there. Sad looking at that list and seeing how many died by their own hands.
John Lennon
Randy Rhoads
Janis Joplin
Jim Morrison
Jimi Hendrix
Steve Clark
Kurt Cobain
Cliff Burton
Keith Moon
Obi-Rob-Kinobi
I shall vote for Robert "Option" Johnson - the king o' Delta Blues.

Where is the "seafoamer" option?
And not to sound like a real jerk (but I probably will)..frankly, not even Phil.
The people who were taken from this earth I would love to see back- the Randys, SRVs, & Cliffs, etc. The ones who destroyed themselves with alcohol and drugs..the Lynotts, the Steve Clarks, Janis Joplins and Hendrixes had their chance.

...okay, I'm not rich.

That's a tough call between Jimi, Stevie Ray, and Randy.
Randy would have been a force in neo classical metal, and likely turned to both classical and high octane blues in the 90's. Remember, Randy was all over and around the pentatonic scale. I think he would have become a serious guitarist.
Stevie would have set the tone for 90's blues guitar, and become the king of blues.....even moreso.
Jimi would have made the late 70's a lot better than it was.

okay..lets just erase those people form the slate..hendrix, Joplin, Lynott, even Morrison.
Is Jeff B still JeffB, I mean the guy in his Avatar and MM still MM? NO.
Your confusing cause and effect. It was the burgeoning volatility and genesis from almost a spiritual dark age, and those who were pioneers were not only artistic genuises, but they were victims.
Its the great glory of the golden age of rock n'roll. It wont happen again in our lifetimes probably. I don't think a societal catharsis like the 60's will happen again for a long long time.
You are downgrading those people by diminishing their importance because of the circumstacnes which led to their demise.
It really was not stupidity, and more entwined with the culture and times.
EDIT- OR SOMETHING.

Walt Disney and Charles Lindburg.

No Dimebag?

None. They're all dead.
I started out with nothing...and I still have most of it left.

I'm voting Randy, but I would have loved to see Dime up there.
