Aint no pro but I know what I like....

I think the jury made the right decision in the trial. From my end of all the information their didn't seem to be any definitive proof of her murdering her own kid. I hope that they get her for lying to the investigators. Unfortunately being a terrible parent is not illegal.

Convicted of at least 4 charges of lying to law enforcement. Sentencing Thursday. Wondering if she gets time served.

She was found guilty of misleading authorities.
That was really all they could prove. The prosecutor overreached, and they let it become too much of a media circus.
I am looking forward to Nancy Grace's head exploding.
"Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished." Isaiah 13:16
"Kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves." Numbers 31:17-18

Justice should not be entertainment.
I blame Judge Ito.

The jury made the right decision.
Doesn't matter that she is guilty of something, the prosecution couldn't prove it. For the love of God, they tried to have her convicted of 1st degree murder on 3 different THEORIES of how Caylee MIGHT have been murdered.
The jury was smart enough to understand that you can't make a conviction on "MAYBES".
I never fly because the Lord said: "Low, and I will be with thee."

They could have gotten her on manslaughter, child abuse, illegal disposal of a body, etc. I think those could have been proven.

Going for first-degree murder was absolutely a mistake. Any defender that could not get her off that when the body couldn't be found for six months should not have passed the bar.

Im just stunned.. What a joke our legal system is... the prosecuter was worthless. My Wife would have been so much better.. My youngest daughter was in tears.. what about Caylee?? I had to explain that they didnt prove without any doubt..

Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.

I'm guessing either a) Someone politically pressured them for the Big Win or b) They just went ego wacky on their own.
It happens. Too bad. But again - as was shown: There IS no proof that she did it. Sometimes crimes are committed that well, on purpose or on accident.
That she is bat%^$% crazy? Oh yes. But at the end of the day it can't be proven. And that's how it should be.

She may not be guilty, but she was still responsible. If she was responsible for her health and welfare she is also responsible for her death.

We might not ever know the truth. As much of a hardass as I am, the court did what it was supposed to. The burden of evidence is on the state, and the charges could not be proven (or proven well enough). The court erred on the side of grace.
That certainly doesn't mean anyone got away with anything...we answer to more than our courts.

Unless there is crushing evidence or new witnesses with first hand knowledge and or participation, I'm thinking it is a done deal for the most part.

It was the grandfather. Hence the "suicide note". He wanted out before he got caught, but then pinned it on his own daughter.

OJ did it!

Murder, no way. Negligence, probably. Unfortunately, people seem to forget that you have to prove "beyond a reasonable doubt" that someone is guilty. To sentence a person to punishment, there cannot be any doubt that they committed the crime(s) in question. In this case, the jury believed that there was too much doubt.
The fact is that whoever murdered the poor little girl was able to get away with it. You could assume from general knowledge about the case that the mother was out boozing and partying and left her daughter in the truck and forgot about her until the poor girl died. Then she panicked and got rid of the body.
However, most people weren't in the jury room watching every minute of testimony and examining evidence. Most people will make assumptions based on what the media portays and it's always sensationalized or biased by the people who report it.
I have been in the jury room before and seen prosecutors go after people with not a shred of convincing evidence, and jurors who are convinced by weak evidence, and felt like I never want to be in the hands of dumbass jurors. I'm glad that they recognized reasonable doubt and proceeded justly. However, I pray that Casey Anthony or whoever was responsible for that little girl's death will eventually come to justice in the most painful way possible.

LOL @ exnihilo.
Like Dom said, the prosecutor was trying to be a bigshot and blew it trying to hang her due to the high profile of the case, when he could have just put her away and been done with it.
I still marvel that they were able to convict Scott Peterson.
And about Grace, did she ever apologize to that Ricci guys' widow for convicting him on national tv when he had NOTHING to do with Elizabeth Smart's disappearance??? HE DIED IN JAIL!
She has no cred, and anyone watching her needs to be beaten over the head with a dead fish.
