    Default String Breaking Problemo

Ok, i dont ever have a problem with breaking strings, especially the same one over and over again. But ever since i keep putting on these Everly b-52 rockers .10 gauge, i break the 4th string EVERY time i put a new set of strings on. Im not playing to hard, I THINK. ive never had this problem with elixirs, and im only using an .80 Dunlop pick. What can i do? p.s i am standard tuning.

try them on another guitar if you got one... i had that same problem on my wolfgang when i got it long ago. I was using dr's and they always broke at the bridge. When i changed to d'addarios the problem went away

My guess is that there's a problem with your saddle. What kind of guitar and bridge are you using?

I had chronic problems breaking the un-wound (G, B & high-E) strings with my MIM Strat until I put on Graph Tech saddles. Problem solved

It is unusual to be breaking a wound string (your D) though...
