Default An offensive analogy - for some reason women don't like this

A cute girl putting on weight is like watching a guy take a hammer to a nice car. Sure, it'll still drive the same, but who wants to be inside it anymore?

Yeah, but at least you're not worried about putting another few bumps and scratches on it.
Every love that made me lose my reasoning. Every chord that made my conscience ache. Every day spent counting hours. Well, none of them comes close to singing back a song inside my head.

    I remember calloused hands and paint-stained jeans, and I remember safe-as-houses self-belief.

It's not as offensive as watching a guy taking a hammer to a girl, who is putting on weight, in the backseat of a nice car.

I believe the saying is: Fat chicks are like mopeds. They may be fun to ride, but you don't want your friends to see you riding one.

That's for getting with a chick who's already fat. This is seeing a hot girl in the process of getting fat.

    Or as entertaining.

Well, I guess it's a good thing I work out a lot and drink low-fat lattes!

I can't really comment on fat guys. I never really see many when I'm out. Maybe I only notice the fit guys. Or maybe they are all home looking at internet porn?

You can't do both at the same time, I can tell you that without trying.

Oh, and something that's weird: I see chicks that I would describe as "a little larger than normal" are now being described as "chubby." I always thought of "Chubby" as being really fat, not just kinda fat.

Mopeds, girls and food. Yup, this seems relevant...

That's the CDC wanting you to believe that's how it is. In reality, that is not how it is. There is a difference between being chubby and overweight (i.e. fat). In reality, chubby is a little larger than normal.... for THEIR build. Some girls are naturally that way, look better and look healthier with a little extra without it taking them to obese range for their build.

Hollywood is no help either, they put this false image of what women should look like rather than reality.

Is some of it self-inflicted? Sure. There are many that need to diet, work out, change their habits and just take care of their bodies more. But that goes for men too. There are also many who are naturally that way and cannot get below a certain threshold. It just so happens to be their healthy weight and there's nothing wrong with it.

What if we're talking about Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis putting their normal weight back on after filming Black Swan? I think a lot of pretty, thin girls would look just as good, or better, with maybe just a little more weight on them.

As our resident honorary female forum member, I think the analogy is offensive.
