OLP MM1 pickups....nice!!!

Hey guys. Got a set of OLP MM1 pickups from Ed Hunter a while back. Put them in the Jay Turser purple serpent LP tonight and these are some great sounding pickups. The neck is not muddy at all, and is a nice warm, full sounding pickup. The bridge is bright, but not in a bad way, and it brought this guitar to life! I had the Rockfield Mafia pickups in it before and while they sound just like the Super Distortion (IMO) in the BC Rich doubleneck, they fedback a lot and sounded like thin 80s hair metal pickups in this guitar.

I'd try these in my Gibson if I didn't love the Custom Custom bridge, A2P neck combo in there already. Nice set of cheap pickups to slap in a cheapo guitar and get great sound for cheap.


EDIT: AND THEY GET THE VAN HALEN I, II, and WACF tone!!!

Right? I've seen both great and terrible reviews for these pickups with some folks swapping them out right away, and others saying they WERE going to swap them, but they sounded fine so they left them. I feel lucky, punk...I mean Funk, ha ha.
