If that doesnt work just google Scion Immolation

I think its awesome - I mean, its completely free so it would be hard to pick fault with it. But it IS a great bit of death metal.

figure out what station it was on, they'll play it again probably. Maybe even try contacting them for info. I hope you find it, sounds cool.

    Sounds interesting/intriguing lol.

Not sure how that would translate to a guitar solo... I guess you mean a creepy kinda vibe in general

Long shot, but my band/project did something along those very lines in 2003...

All my favourite players play dark/melodic stuff but they're regular guitar solo's..

I had this vid up on youtube a couple of years ago but I'd deleted it a while ago...

Any of these bands/players? (that last one's mine again... )

I too am looking for a song. I, for the life, can't remember what it is (was). (and no, it wasn't "Freshmen", lol).

I taped a piece of something unknown, off the radio once.I had found it changing stations, there was only about five minutes of it and then station faded away. The station didn't exist and for about the next ten years I had no idea what it was.

I was playing it to some one [ ten years down the track ] He recognised the music, but it was a different version. I worked out who's version I was looking for but had no luck finding it and it stayed that way for about the next fifteen years. I had forgotten about it until a few years back. I thought about it and went hunting on the net. I found it.

So about twenty five or thirty years down the track I found it. Don't give up hope Snoogles, it just may be found sooner or later.

you people shouldn't make fun of me. i've been going through a really rough time with this. its really upsetting. i've been trying to figure out everything to find out what that might have been.
i even begged to have a clue sent to me in my dreams.

and actually i did call up the station just about 10 minutes after i heard it, but nobody answered. it was some indie college radio station

....and though it might not have been that well received, I thought Etherial Tomb was actually pretty awesome as well. Probably the most atmospheric & creepy one of the three. The solo's were as crazy as ever too...

I wasn't making fun of you. The point was " there may be hope ".
What I wrote was an abbreviated version and totally true. What I was chasing was a recording made in Australa but never released here. It was in fact not released until 10 years after its making and re-released 17 years after that [ in the CD era ]
    It was this.

Yeah I am thinking it's a song off of Gateways or FFtF.

I was in Trey's Quake 3 clan (sailor_grumpy) some of those guys doing that era like Gorguts, Cryptopsy, Poison the Well, Origin, Immolation. I don't see the song you are wondering about being Gorguts or Cryptopsy. Those guys were into pretty much abstracty Treyesque type bands.

Ihonestly want to know what it was.

You know, I'm not even into this kind of music, but now I want to hear this mystery song, just for some damn closure.

BTW, does anyone else think that some of these singers sound like Gollum? "Precious, we hates them hobbitses and their top 40 music. Always going ons with their John Mayer tribute bands; HATES THEM."
"Times have not become more violent. They have just become more televised."
