    Default Magnet swap question

Hello. I've tried several searches trying to get an answer but just can't find one. I have a SH-15 that I want to swap the magnet out. In one of my many searches I found a seller on ebay that a lot of people use but there's a few things I'm not sure about when ordering. What size do I need? I've seen nominal 2.5"X0.50"X0.125" and 2.44"X0.492"X0.125 inches. What does nominal mean? Oriented or Unoriented. I've seen non-magnetized and magnetized. Help a newb out. Sorry if this a repeat question.

    Thanks

Duncan p'ups use the 2.5"X0.50"X0.125 size.

    Get'em magnetized, fully-charged.

The best thing to do is order several and swap'em until you find the best for your instrument.

What are you trying to accomplish here?

Thanks for the reply. I'm not a fan of the SH-15. I figured I'm not going to use it so change the magnet and see how it sounds. They are cheap enough so why not. Maybe I'll get lucky. I know the coil wire gauge is thinner than a custom but maybe putting an A2 in it will make it close to a SH-11 which I'm a fan off. And if that sucks I'll try an A5. I'll play in a pop punk band with a lot of gain.

Nope! The Sh15 is the Alt 8, i own one too. Forum bros had no good experience in changing magnets with it. It an overwound AWG44 pup that needs a strong magnet, but even ceramics did not yield a decent result.
Sell it and get one of the Custom family.

I get the feeling the A8 will blow your skirt up more so -Edgecrusher
