Default Ibanez INF3 neck pup equivalent?

Im aware these are apparently crap but the INF3 is the one and only neck pickup Ive put in any 24 fret HH guitar that I really, really like.
I just wonder what the equivalent, "real" Dimarzio or SD pickup would be, in terms of that particular tone?

My ideal neck tone is warm and creamy but Ive been unable to get this satisfactorily in a 24 fret guitar so I tried the INF3 and, its not warm and creamy at all, but it sounds great!

I hate to be one of "those" guys. But why not just get an INF3? They can be had used for super cheap.

I assumed there was something the INF3 was based on. Like the Duncan Designed - I might like one of them, then try the real JB and realise the DD was not as good as I thought.

That said, if anyone has a super cheap INF3....you know where I am.

I've never heard a duncan that sounds like the INF3, and I've heard most of them.

Yeah, I have a feeling the Evo might be close. Im going to keep an eye out for a good price on an Evo, and INF3s as well.

That's what I said back at post #2...DP158. It has a broader peak & better harmonics than the inf3 because of the dual resonance, but it has similar sharp pick attack and clarity. Also, its output is a bit more, but in the same ballpark. I am specifically referring to the neck model of Evo.

Yep, sorry I know you mentioned it way back, I had to Google DP158 to see what you meant. Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. What you describe is exactly the reply I was hoping for.
