    Default PATB-1N?

What are the specs on the PATB-1 neck model? What exactly does SD mean by "compensated for tonal balance? Is it just the bridge model with a longer wire or is it wound different?

Can't answer your questions, but it's my favorite duncan neck humbucker. I just wish they made the PATB's in a size that would fit standard pickup rings; I always have to file down the sides of my pickup rings to use them. I assume doing so would compromise the sound though.

Its just a typical PAF voiced neck pickup, the specs are in the tone chart link from the PATB1 page

The specs for the neck model are not listed. Usually neck pickups will have less mids and bass and less output. It gives no indication of how the neck sounds compared to the bridge.

The neck is listed as 7.7k i think. Tone-wise it reminds me of a PGn, but the PATB bit is really its own beast. It has clarity and smoothness that no regular 'bucker can match.

    edit - 7.5k

If I'm not mistaken, I do not think it is trem spaced either because its in the neck slot. This means that it could be installed in an axe with a standard bridge, which would be kinda cool imo.
