That freaks me out a bit. I've never bought unseen and untried.
I'll most probably pull the trigger next month, anyway.
Wanna take the risk with this one!
My Squier would be sold later on to make space as well, if the Xaviere is nice.

There was an article on it a few years ago. At the time, they were called Ping Lic. Floyds and were the first LFR's to actually have the Floyd Rose logo on them. Awhile back they changed the name to Floyd Rose special and started offering more finish choices, but they're the same components and quality as the Pings and are still made by the same place.
If I were you, I'd just swap out the block on your special. That's where you'll notice the biggest improvement. Some people complain about the saddles breaking and what not, but I've found that those that complain are usually the ones that tighten the strings down like a guerrilla and event he steel saddles will break with too much torque. A half turn past snug is sufficient to hold the string in place.
I suppose if you really wanted to replace the saddles, it wouldn't hurt any. Graphtech makes a set of Floyd saddles now that seem to be pretty good. The only real problem with replacing saddles is that they're expensive. So you have to weigh out your options of if you want to spend that much or spend the extra and just buy a new bridge. Last time I looked saddles were $10 or $15 a piece, so you're looking at a hefty chunk of change just for saddles. I think the graphtech saddles are around $80 a set. Whatever works for you though!

Thanks a lot guys. I do not want or need a guitar like this. I have however always wanted a Jr style guitar. I recently bought a pair of GFS bucker sized P90s to go in my old guitar so I could have something similar. Then I go to the site and see this
Body- Solid Mahogany
Neck- Solid Mahogany with Rosewood Fingerboard
Fingerboard Radius- 12"
Frets- 22 Medium Jumbo Nickel Silver
Pickups- GFS Alnico P90 Dogear
Tuners- Sealed Die Cast 14:1
Scale Length- 24 3/4"
Width at Nut- 1 11/16"
Depth at 1st Fret- 0.82"
Depth at Heel- 1.14"
Average Weight- 7 lbs.
For $194. I almost bought one right away. They have one in closeout for $139. It was black or it would have already been ordered. May still be.
Anybody wanna buy a washburn with 2 GFS P90s in it?

I really wish that I did not know about the existence of that blue XV-890. I have a serious cheap guitar gas problem and this is not helping!
