    Default Harmonic Design Tele Pickups?

I hear nothing but good things about them. Anybody have some experience with them? Any thoughts on the '54 specials vs Vintage Plus? I can't decide between them. I'm afraid that the Vintage Plus bridge would be too warm, but I'm also afraid that the '54 Special wouldn't have enough grind and be too tame/refined. Any thoughts on these two sets would be great!

Not heard of either, sorry. Is there any place where sound clips can be found?

Also, what exact version of Telecaster are you modifying? Body woods, fingerboard woods, bridge design and saddle materials all have an influence on the end result.

My tastes are for the early ash/maple Blackguard. For this, the pickup claiming to resemble the Broadcaster/No-Caster would be the one to have.

Just back from visiting the HDP website. I'd be tempted to go for the '54 bridge/treble pickup and either a Vintage Plus or that Mini Strat neck/rhythm pickup.

I really love the vintage Plus tele bridge.
It is the best tele bridge pickup I have ever used for roots rock and blues.
Scott at HD is great to deal with.

Purchased a matched set about ten years ago, that set stayed in my guitar for about two weeks.
