Which is brighter? UOA5 or Degaussed A5?

Considering doing some magnet swapping in another bridge pickup.

Currently it has a degaussed A5. Would an UOA5 be brighter? Softer on the low end?

Can someone rank Regular A5, UOA5, and Degaussed A5, in order of power?

Correction (based on blueman335 and LtKojak's info):

Degaussed A5 will be brighter than the UOA5

If you want softer bass than a regular A5, use the UOA5.

As for for ranking the A5's in order of power...A5 > Degaussed A5 > UOA5 (apparently)

UOA5 will be somewhat brighter than your Degaussed A5, but it will likely have more bass, as well.

I disagree, I think you have it backwards. UOA5's are very warm magnets, the next warmest to A2's. When an A5 is unoriented, it loses a lot of treble, mids are added, and the bass is reduced and not as tight. Lots of dynamics appear. Major change in an A5. An UOA5 is more like an A2 with a dash of treble.

A degaussed A5 is just a weaker A5, with the same basic A5 characteristics; it still has a good amount of treble, scooped mids, and a tight low end. Not a huge difference.

Depends on how degaussed the A5 is... to get close to the UOA5, it's gotta be at least less than 50% degaussed.... but it's never going to sound LIKE the UOA5, even with only 10% of the charge, as inherently both are made differently, with different formulae and different annealing process, the UOA5 is Isotropic and the A5 is Anisotropic, so to be able to HOLD the charge, the A5's GOTTA be charged as high as it can be, the more degaussed it is, the less is bound to hold whatever charge it has over time.
