Thumbs up New pub in town!

A new pub opened up in town. Its name is Platypus Pub. The reason for the name is one of the owners is a die hard Oregon Ducks fan and the other is a die hard Oregon State Beavers fan. Half beaver, half duck = Platypus! Pretty cool idea, imo.
There was this brew shop that had supplies for home brewers and they also had a REALLY good selection of micro brews from around the world. They moved into an old Italian restaurant that had been empty for years. They put the pub downstairs and the brew shop upstairs. Next time, I will get pics of the awesome beer selection.
We stopped in and had some food and tried some of the beer they had on their erver-revolving list. I had a black IPA that was very "meh" and a Ninkasi, which, if you have ever had one of their beers, you know they are all awesome. Here is the current beer menu, the beers I selected for the evening and a picture of my dog:

    fyi,

    DONT GET THE VICTORY STOUT!

It was disgusting. Tasted like salty meat water with carbonation. Something was wrong with this batch. I wrote them an email, because I have never had a stout that gross. I have had some of their other beers, and they were great.

    Onto the Steelhead Extra Stout...

I didnt drink it yet. I havent had their stout yet.
I have had all their other beers, though.
I really like what they do.
I lived in Arcata, CA for a bit, and they had a brewery a few minutes north of Arcata. IIRC
    Their double IPA is intense.

Im still bummed about the Victory Stout... it was so salty. Something was definitely messed up with that batch. Im wondering what kind of response (if any) I will get from them, as I wrote them an email about the experience. My dog wouldnt even drink it!
