    Default Latest gig pics...

Played a show last wednesday, opening for "the Brains" (very good punkish psychobilly, some of you will appreciate).

Some dude I never met sent me pics (and put 'em up on facebook as well of course).
I started with a longsleeve shirt but it got too darn hot so I stripped down to my undershirt wife-beater. Looks kinda weird but not bad either I think.

Just thought some of you might enjoy 'em...

Note the SD Mag-Mic in the Taylor

    Cheers!

Cool, but that's way too many badass tattoos to be playing an acoustic geetar.

Yeah, being that, even with a fairly known main act, it was on a wednesday night, it was really good.
Being an acoustic guy and opening for hardrockin' bands isn't always easy. This time around the public got really right there with me for all the set. I seemed to really make an impact on the crowd that night, which was an amazing feeling...

You need a guy backing you up on a Earthwood, to make it complete. I just so happen to know a guy that owns one lol!

    Punk rock acoustic, you say?

Looks like a great show, dude. Congrats. Sweet tattoos as well. I didn't realise you had so much ink.

Thank you all for the nice comments.

Bass: An earthwood would indeed be very cool.

Kam: I like frank, he's quite good...

You didn't realize I had so much ink and yet you commented on all my ink threads...
Don't feel bad though, 99% of folks I work with have no idea I have any tattoos.

Yup, that sounds like me. Well-meaning and kinda loveable but still pretty much a jackass. In my defence, it's the morning after a Saturday night and I hadn't had coffee or nicotine at that stage.

Frank's my absolute hero. I've been a fan since his first album with Million Dead and, in my opinion, his solo stuff just keeps getting better and better. One of the absolute best lyricists currently at work in the English language.

What I've heard of Frank is indeed good but my favorite "modern" (I only say this because Dylan will be at the top of my list forever) guy will remain Chuck Ragan (the sound's not great on many of them but hopefully you can still hear what I hear when I listen to him:

Of course a second guitar would really open up some cool opportunities too.

Let me know if you want to get together with the Earthwood guy...we could do a KILLER acoustic version of Shoot To Thrill.

I saw the last two pics and was like "Whoa! He's got a twin!!!!" Looks like the same stage...

    You are the man, Surgeon.

It's hard to keep a crowd as an opener with a band - awesome that you can do it solo acoustic!
