    Default SPB-1 vs. Fender Original '62 P-Bass

How does SPB-1 compare to the Fender Original '62? I know they are both going for a vintage tone. Are they the same sound with the Basslines being humcancelling or are there some differences in the tone?

Unless wired in a non-standard manner, all "split" (two coil) Precision Bass pickups are hum-cancelling.

Money no object, I'd go for the Seymour Duncan Antiquity P Bass pickup. My personal favourite active P pickups are the Basslines APB-2 Lightnin' Rods and the long-discontinued Active EQ series for P Bass with the tone modifying DIP switches.

if you want a great 60's fender p bass tone, get the antiquity II p bass pup.

ive never compared the spb1 to the original '62
