I am throwing an SC250 bridge pickup into my Custom 22, and trying to wire it with the 5 way switch.


Normally this involves a flipping of the magnet of the pickup to match everything right, but in this case, there are 3 mags. The center magnet, and 2 magnets on each side that hold the bobbins up.


I tried to flip the center mag only, and wired it up normally. The sounds arent out of phase or anything, but something seems off with the setup. The bridge pickup isnt as powerful and hot as I used to remember (its a 15.42k pickuip), and the 2 inner coils in series position isnt quite as loud as the bridge and neck humbucker positions. Usually it has the same volume level.


Any ideas on whats goin on? Anyone ever work with a 3 mag pickup like this one, the tremonti treble, or even the invader or something?
