Default Coil splitting - a few questions (tech)

I'm looking around the web, find some useable info but not still THE info. Time is a luxury for me with 2 toddlers around...so I need info quick

First off, I know little about pickup wiring, but I do know what the terms south/north, ground, hot means. I wired a few guitars lately.

    Here's my questions :

    * I have a on/off switch right now. If I want to coil tap my SD Distortion pup (4w + ground), where do the wires go ? Is that pic shows correctly how it should goes ?

    * More importantly, there's 2 series of slug. Can I use the second row to connect the neck pup if I get a 4w pup in the futur ?

    Thanks !

This diagram is what you need - it shows how to cut either coil. The normal coil that is gounded is the screw coil leaving the slug coil on.

Yes, as in the push pull in this diagram : the two sides of the switch are separate

    Tried it. Failed miserably

    Here's some facts :

A - I only hear a small fraction of the strings through the amp with a lot of noise (whatever the position, bridge or neck or both)

B - The solder is messy I know but it was like that in the first place and it worked

C - Looks like I have a stereo jack, isn't it ? I know the EMG AB were connected on both outer slugs. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO WITH THE EXTRA SLUG (emphasis because I think that's where my problem lies) ?

    Here's some pics

(1 - white wire (changes to black in the second pic), goes from "bottom" slug)
    (2 - White/red for coil tap)
(3 - Grounded on the bridge volume knob)
(4 - the white wire from point 1, goes to one of the outer slug)
(5 - Grounded on the bridge tone pot)
