I've got a lot to be thankful for. I've got a solid career, a good family and a roof over my head. Anything other than that is just plain a bonus. Heck, I could have died back in January, so I'm thankful just to be alive.

Still being alive and just having hit 50 - it was a close run thing a few years back

More than anything else at this difficult time in my life, I am thankful for the films of Jim Belushi.

My wife, she is the most incredible person I have
ever met. She's my best friend and my soul mate.
I love her more than I could possibly express.

    Peace,

    Darrin

    Too much to list here.

    VERY short list:

    God
    Wife
    Family
    Ministry
    Church family
    Food
    Shelter
    Financial stability
    Ability/opportunities to serve others
    Ability/opportunities to give to others
Moderate talent and opportunities to share it
    Gear that facilitates the above
    Reliable transportation
    General health

To be alive, today a friend of mine died of a massive MI. He was just 49, his birthday was yesterday, he leaves a wife and a 23 year old daughter behind. It made me think to try to be a better person, to take time to say hello to a friend you haven't seen in a while. I am thankful for life, I don't plan on wasting any more time on the little things.

Been a rough year lost my only Sister and a number of close friends.
However I'm still standing. In spite of loosing over 30K in income from the 2009 level in 2010 and likely a worse year this year I still NEVER missed any payments.
In spite of serious personal and political attacks and consistent threats I'm still Standing and I'm still in my home. How only the Lord knows but we are still here!
    Now the real thank fulls.
On Nov 15th we celebrated our 25 wedding anniversary. My wife needs a medal for all the BS she has put up with from my family and also from the political fire fights because of me but she's still here.
One of my Sons is now a missionary to Belgium and a world class bass player.
The other works for the tactical ordnance division of General Dynamics making things that go BOOM that I can't talk about.
I still have nice gear and in spite of many in powerful positions trying to take me out over the last 2 years I am still standing and in my home.
Not only am I standing but as of September am in a new Political Position that has me gaining ground and the ability to fight back!!
Over all there is NO way this was not destiny and I know without Doubt there is someone up there looking out for this Nawlens born transplanted Bama boy .

I am thankful for my wife, 2 awesome dogs, my kick ass bands, music in general, my remington 1100, this awesome bacon cheddar log in the fridge, my two first homebrews turning out great, my upcoming 2 week vacation, Radiohead tickets in March, having a good paying job, having an amazing set of friends, etc. Friends, family, and good times are worth everything.

I am thankful for getting to go to college for free.
I am thankful for having a loving, supporting family.
I am thankful for my crazy sister and brothers (all 4 of them).
I am thankful for the teachers at school who take time to teach me a thing or 2.
I am thankful for being able to make the music I want to make when I want to make it.
I am thankful for having a roof over my head and food to eat.

And I am thankful for my girlfriend whom I love so much. I don't know where I'd be without her.

I am thankful for pretty much everything. Life is what it is. And mine is pretty damned good in the grand scheme. I am thankful most of all that I was born when and where I was, and to my parents. I am thankful to the scientists, doctors, and government medical insurance programs that gave my dad an extra 19 years of life so he could be alive to raise me.

I am most thankful for my wife and children.

Without them, I doubt I would be able to do much.
