Lunch is on me!

What a half-assed organization I work for! They said they were going to provide us with lunch today, but they didn't. I didn't have any faith in their judgment, so I brought my own lunch. My supervisor was supposed to line up lunch for today and tomorrow, but he made no advanced plans. He was then mortified when he couldn't find anyplace to deliver on a holiday!

Nobody brought a lunch because they expected it to be taken care of. So you had eight people with no lunch, too far to go home for lunch and nowhere to go out for lunch. Since I lived the closest I ran home and brought in my frozen pizzas. I also bought a half dozen extra at the gas station just in case. I cooked them in the pizza oven from the break room. Doesn't say much for the leadership when I can pull something out of my ass that is far superior. Pathetic!

Last Friday the office manager dropped a bomb on us at 3:30. He said that nobody was going home until the cases in our queues had met SLA (Service Level Agreement). He also said everyone was working the weekend to clear the back log of old cases that hadn't been claimed. I was the only person from my office besides my manager that showed up on Saturday. I took ownership of 32 cases, closed 6 and put the other 26 into SLA. On Monday I was able to close the 26 cases I brought into SLA as resolved.
