    Default 99th Grey Cup

Two great teams for today's Grey Cup game BC and Winnipeg, both went from worst to first this year. This is the first year that I remember that there was near parity going into the playoffs.

I had no idea what you were even talking about. I had to look up what the Grey Cup is.

They already did and it wasn't a success. I have heard that Toronto wants an NFL franchise besides their CFL team.

Toronto doesn't even go to their Argos games as it is. They don't have an NFL caliber facility either.

This thread had the potential to go in MANY directions. This was one of them.

Toronto can't even put people in the seats when the Bills do play there. Most of their Canadien fans are in southern Ontario, not Toronto.

I think the NFL realizes that if they go in to Toronto they'll effectively kill the Argos and the CFL along with them. Toronto could support an NFL team but so could many U.S. cities. Why bother a league that provides some, albeit minimal, benefit to the NFL? Why risk the possible negative PR? It has some risk for the NFL and little reward.

As for tonights game, I didn't watch the second half due to school commitments. The Bombers didn't really show up in the first half. The defense was acceptable but the offense was useless and the punter seemed to think his job was to get the ball 10-20 yards down the field regardless of where they were.

I just feel like I need to apologize for Nickelback, on behalf of all Canadians.

Sorry guys, I don't think anyone expected them to go quite as far as they have

Yeah, Winnipeg sucked the bag on that one. The offence was absolutely useless the entire game. They only managed to find the end zone in the last 3 minutes after BC got overconfident because the score was 31-9.

Tell that to Joe Kapp and Angelo Mosca!

Winnipeg looked lost from the beginning.

Good on BC for winning it, after the start they had to the season (again). I was so happy to see Hamilton knock off Montreal in the East semi but man did they stink in the final against Winnipeg! Ah well, next year! Oskee wee wee!

Montreal underwhelmed against BC. In the CFL and to a lesser extent in the NFL it isn't who wins the most, it's who wins last. Not many people would have foreseen Hamilton playing spoiler.
