Baseball and NASCAR are boring as hell

I just cannot sit through it at all. I honestly would rather watch hockey or golf before baseball. Most of the time a camera just sits staring at a player chewing and spitting tobacco. Absolute borefest.

I even went to one baseball game in person. Just as boring, except I got nice chili dogs, so I guess that is SOMETHING.

Its really not even fun to play. Basketball and football are much better sports and I love playing them but baseball = lame.

I think most americans will even agree with me, seeing as how its popularity has nosedived.



And don't get me started on NASCAR. "oh, lets sit and watch cars go in a circle for 3-4 hours, how fun!"

Even worse than baseball. I went twice with someone else and I just get on my phone the whole time waiting for it to end.

Just because you don't relate to something doesn't mean it's not a valid sport or that others might enjoy it. I could reduce just about any sport to the oversimplification you've used.

Hockey: "Let's sit and watch some guys chase a little rubber puck around for 3 hours"
Football: "Let's sit and watch a 20 second play and then everyone stand around for 2 minutes"
Basketball: "Let's sit and watch guys run back and forth and score so many times that an individual basket is almost meaningless"

I'm not a fan of baseball because I find the pace too slow, but there's lots of people who do enjoy it. I'm not sure how that league is still operating though because every game I see on TV, the stands look practically empty.

Agree, baseball on TV is kinda boring. But that's why man created the remote control.

I like auto racing but, NASCAR driving around in circles is a little boring for me. I much prefer Formula 1, , circuit, drift, and rally cross racing as I appreciate the higher skill and danger element to that type of racing.

NASCAR is hit-or-miss. The season finale this year at Homestead was insane, one of the best races I've ever watched.
When they race at GP-style circuits like Montreal or Infiniti, or long ovals like Talladega or Daytona, those races are usually damn good.
But I'd rather get stabbed than watch them race at ridiculous short ovals like Bristol.

I used to love F1, but it's pointlessly gimmicky now. Extremely artificial overtaking.

I agree on Nascar but baseball it depends on the game. I don't mind a low scoring pitchers battle because the smallest thing can mean the difference between a win & a loss......

I want to like Baseball. I've gone to games and it's great. (Cubs and Sox) I just CANNOT get into it on T.V. Watching player stats and listening to the analysis on talk radio is actually more interesting than watching the game on TV. I can watch the playoffs. Regular season, it's just tough to watch more than a game here or there.

Nascar I just can't get into.

I really can't get into either one. The only sport I can watch (and watch religiously) is college basketball. To me, it's far more interesting when you never know how the game is going to be played. Younger players make mistakes that pros realistically very rarely ever do. There's often some element of surprise in there. Heck, I was the only one last year that said the UConn was going to take it and anybody that follows basketball probably thought I was nuts.

I have a problem getting into a team sport where they play 162 games every season. With that many games, what's the point? Also, statistics are boring.
