How are the L350s? Supposedly similar to the L500s but with two rows of adjustable polepieces. I had a set of L450s that were amazing, but that guitar got lost in transit. I have yet to find another set in black.

The more I read from this (and the Dimarzio) forum, the more I'd love to hold a blind test to a lot of ears and have them guess what pick-up they're listening to.
So this is my favorite post of this long thread:

They all sounded the same to me, I would not have been able to tell they were different pickups unless it said so on the video. I liked them a lot, nice playing.

I'm not sure how much of what people hear between similar pick-ups is heard through suggestion, but I'd bet it's a lot.

Sure, some things are real different and could easily be discerned, but people often hear (and THINK) what they want to hear.

Anyway...

SH-13 is onboard, B&B 500xl sold already... less than a day, that was quick!

My les paul is on fire, guess that's the ceramic magnet doing its thing...
B&B 500xl must have smtng different inside, it was a bit harder to go wild with the lead stuff...

DIME is one of my all time favorite players and person! I was fortunate enough to have met him when he and vin already had damageplan going full tilt.
Let me tell you not only was he a master of metal guitar but definitely the COOLEST guy i ever met in my life! NON STOP TILL YOUR BELLY HURT LAUGHING! He just had a way about him that was so comical.a true natural at it too. he had real heart i will never forget when he bought a fan a guitar at a signing,the kids dad was going to get it for him on xmas but dime said AH why wait start right now and bought him a guitar at the store he was doing the meet and greet at! now thats a real person!
Like already said DIME used all those pickups at one point or another. they are all great!
