Default Just ordered Alnico II Pro tele set, question.

I have a '10 MIM Fender standard Telecaster that has stock ceramic pickups that are not RWRP and therefore are not noise cancelling in the middle switch position. Additionally these stock pickups are very noisy in all positions and I do not care for the tone that I get out of them thru my DRRI amp, or any other amp.

After a lot of thought I finally decided upon a set of pickups to try and today I ordered a set of Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro telecaster pickups.

My question is for those who may have some knowledge about this set of pickups. What should I expect from the SD Alnico II Pro tele set of pickups?
Any idea as to how these will compare to the sound I get from the stock Fender MIM standard tele pickups?

    Feedback is totally appreciated.

Hey Duffy! I have a Strat with 2 SC APS II and a HB APH II, so I can't express to you a Tele sound, but I can say they have have focus definition in tone, react very well to picking dynamics and attack, they sound clear when you want them, and when you kick in the OD... Look out dammit, a hurricanes coming. Back off a little with the volume and they will smooth out to a wonderful rhythm crunch. Hope this helps. Peace bro

Thanks man. That is the type of impression I'm getting from a lot of people that have the tele SD Alnico II Pro pickup set.

I can dig this because I like to play a lot of rock and blues. I'm not much for playing country, except for a little Marshall Tucker now and then, and Lynyrd Skynyrd has that definite country vibe to it and I like that and play that quite a bit. I'm mainly rock though and blues and I like to use my new Electro Harmonix Big Muff Pi USA fuzz pedal. That pedal impresses me a lot and I can get a lot of different tones out of it. I also play straight into my DRRI as well as my Peavey Delta Blues fifteen inch speaker model, right now. The Delta Blues has a nice mellow overdrive channel on it. I have a Peavey 6505+ combo for when I really want to roar.

Dude, I to play Blues, and I do classic rock. I love it, it brings me back to the good old days of ROCK. I run through an Egnater Tweaker 40 w/ 2x12, and I got my baby, a Fender '94 Blues Deluxe.
These pickups sound as if heaven made them especially for those to styles of groovin. Have fun my man...

Yeah House, I see that a lot of dudes that have these pickups really like them. Some even think they are the best tele pickups they have played.

I think I will really like them, especially compared to these noisy stock MIM telecaster's ceramics that produce a very unsatisfying sound compared to even my new way less expensive butterscotch blonde Squier Classic Vibe 50's tele that sounds very beautiful, almost three dimensional and crystalline.

The MIM standard tele is a nice guitar, has nice features and build quality, it is just the pickups that are unimpressive.

Bro my Strat is an MIM also. I loved everything about it except those damn pickups. They were cheap Cracker Jack box PU's . I couldn't stand them past a week. I hit the SD web site and checked out the audio sampler, also checked out a few demos on Youtube, and decided to go for it. I'm glad I did.
