Did Randy Rhoads really use DMZ SD's ?

Looking at the spec sheet, it suggests that the Polkadot V had
DiMarzio PAFs from the start, so ... have we been fooled all these years?
Did Randy actually use the Super Distortion or were there PAFs in
that legendary guitar all along?

I believe he used a Dimarzio PAF in the neck and a DMZ Super D in the bridge of his flying V....Maybe the guitar originally had 2 DMZ PAFs but he swapped the bridge for a super D. He also had a Jackson Randy Rhoads signature guitar with a DD in the bridge and jazz in the neck.

That's most likely the case as he swapped the white knobs for black ones.

they've both, or atleast Ace(since I'm not into Al) used it from
very early on. Dare I say one of the earliest users ...

Let's not forget that Paul Gilbert used the SuperD as well in the early RacerX days. He wired them in parallel.

This is a pic of Randy's original guitar, it was taken when they were shooting some video a few years ago for a Randy documentary that never happened. The pic is a bad screen shot but you can tell that the bridge pickup is different than the neck PAF.

Its a good question, but i think the rhythm track that comes chugging in (after the four cycles of pianozak) in Revelations MotherEarth suggests Dmz SuperD (or Mick Mars guest appearance)

By the way, a friend who snuck me a fonepic of the p dot V sez the paint aint messed up anymore.
