I can't believe Alexi Laiho is the new Six Million Dollar Man.![]()

I bet the country stars are really kickin it!! Here's just three that I looked up.
Alan Jackson - 75 million
Taylor Swift - 80 million
Kenny Chesney - 40 million

[QUOTE=JOLLY;3067151]
Robert Plant - 120 million how much did you add to that when you saw hin at the Rhyman with Alison Kraus?
/QUOTE]
A couple hundred bucks. Chump change to him!
I get weak in the knees at the sight of a vintage Fender amp!

And of course, two of my favorites are still kickin ass even in a coffin.
Michael Jackson - 600 million
Elvis - 300 million

Jessica Simpson 100 million, yikes!
OJ Simpson (because it was right there) 750k (and still too much)
Boy George 35 million
Vanilla Ice 20 million
Milli Vanilli Unavailable/One OD'd on the night of their 10 yr reunion (see what lip syncing does)
My bizarre contribution.

Bieber: $85M

Plus you gotta realize that the ones with the *real money from all this are the Record Execs?
I'm Rich, I'm Beuatiful! <p>
...okay, I'm not rich.
They also tour pretty extensively. They may not play stadiums, but they play smaller venues and fill them up pretty well.
FWIW, I've heard them on the radio occasionally over the years, and I even remember seeing a few of Steve's videos from Passion and Warfare on MTV. Those guys don't really market themselves like regular rock acts, though. They tend to market to guitarists.

Although Bowie nearly always refuses to comment on his financial affairs, in 1997, a British business magazine named him the world's richest musician, with an estimated worth of $US900 million (yes, 900 million dollars). If true, this fortune would certainly not be from just his musical releases (since Bowie has never sold in the same huge numbers as other popular artists like the Beatles), but is likely to include savvy financial investments which Bowie has made in fields other than just music![]()

i'm actually a little surprised tom morello isn't worth a bit more, even if he was in a 4-way split with the other guys in RATM. they were/are huge here, it wasn't uncommon to end up with 3-4 copies of RATM's first album after having friends over
i'm sure he and chris cornell, if not the other guys, would've made some decent coin out of audioslave too...
axl rose having 200 million makes me want to become a @#$% thief.
how set-up is beyonce and jay-z's daughter?!

I reckon I might send Lizzie a bill for back rent. The old girl's family have been living in my bloody castle for the last 500 years.

On the one hand, you realize most of the top earners in that list will be dead within 20-25 years or less. I applaud the golden age of rock and Metal, but am glad we as a society progress towards more independent and egalitarian status among rock bands ..you probably wont see the conditions exist any longer for any rockers to amass that type of wealth, outside of pop bands like matthews and Gaga that media floods and hypersensitizes everyone to.
If we want to progress as a world and a society we have to eliminate such a wide gulf in income distribution among artists, sure, but among people in general everyone.
wishful thinking, I'm sure, in the big picture, but at least in rock, the squeeze is already on.
C'mon man, these people are great, but worth 300-700- 900 million in terms of the socioeconomic good they generate for society? No effin way, not even a fractioon of it, so lets eliminate tjat BS and make it possible for Indy artists to maybe make some money that enables them and their families and their kids of the future upon which the survival of this nation depends to live more comfortably instyead of 40 old people having billions of dollars of all the available wealth. ..I mean..would it be possible to exist on, say, juts 30-60 million? I know it would be an incredible hardship, but..
