The Entwistle HVX *will* do the 80s metal sound. People are comparing it to the Screamin' Demon (which I absolutely hate), I was thinking more along the lines of a medium output JB, so maybe it's a bridge between the two. Definitely a good sounding pickup, cheap as hell, and with the logo, I don't have to put a sticker on the back of the headstock reminding me which pickup is installed.

Cool color. I used that same paint for my SG Jr project. It's Oxford White though. That stuff sprays on great. Did you use clear over it? I didn't since I went for the faded look.

Great Job. I'd want a black guard on that though, but thats a matter of taste. Maybe even a Chrome Brass guard.
