I'm struggling to comprehend why such a track would be marketed as a pop single. It's completely atonal and lacks any sort of strong rhythm to latch on to (with the exception perhaps for booty shaking).

Unless you get a kick out of hearing "you a stupid hoe" 100 times, I fail to see what is actually catchy about this particular composition.

Even the comments are overwhelmingly negative for such a popular artist. I don't see any of the usual OMG I LOVE THIS SONG AND HIS/HER HAIR IS SO PRETTY.

Nowhere near as annoying, though being a Lonely Island track it still is moderately annoying. I think I may have chuckled once when I first saw the "Jizz In My Pants" video a few years ago. I'm tired of their shtick. John LaJoie makes infinitely funnier material with a minimal budget.

damn. i mean, i was hoping i'd at least be able to enjoy it humorously, but there was no real beat. wtf. i love the dumb sounds on casio keyboards too, nicki, but that is not how rhythm works. and i'm usually into unconventional stuff. but this was like one long awkward fill.

I think she is creative, and she's definitely operating outside the norms. Reminds me of Missy Elliott, whom I also respect for being original and unconventional.

She definitely has at least 2 distinct personalities. She has

1) Girly / nymph - submissive
2) Macho / aggressive - shock value

She also has an actress mind - which means (she's probably not marriage material ) she is always playing a character, and I think a lot of hate for Nicki Minaj is rooted in not knowing what the fu*k she is going for.

Also, she is so attractive that I feel guilty watching her videos. They're like, pornographic, man.

I see her as always in character (when on camera / tape), and she's creating her own little world of altar egos - expressing that in each of us, there are different characters.

Sometimes you want to fu*k somebody up. Sometimes you're mad and want to insult people. Sometimes you want to be romantic. Sometimes you want to be nice and sweet. Who doesn't feel like that?
