Thinking about a bunch of threads at the same time and came up with the idea to try swapping the hex screws from the unwound strings on my Demon with the fillisters on the wound strings of my PGn, in the same guitar
Hmmm.
I will report back

I put hexes on the low E and A of my PGn. It made a small difference at best. Haven't felt the need to do anything to my Demon, love it as is. But, it might be interesting to see if it would smooth out the high E string.
Let us know what you find out.

Just for sh!ts & giggles I've ordered nickel plated hex screws frm AddictionFx to try on my covered PGn. Maybe if nothing else it will look more badass.
I have no complaints about either pickup, just tinkering

Let us know how you like the change.

It may not be happening now. I read in another thread the Addiction Fx parts do not fit SD bobbins. Not interested in cracking a bobbin or messing up the threads for stock parts

Do like you said at first....swap with another Duncan pup.

OK, I did it, but so far only @ bedroom volume. The impact was definitely more apparent on the Demon bridge. The mids jump out, especialy on single strings
The hex poles on the Pgn help to articulate full chords, but things can still get mushy. I still need to see what it does on higher volume Fender cleans
I'm going to keep it this way for a while since I don't seem to have lost anything

That's good to know. I think I'll try that swap on my Demon (at least on the high E string).
