It's like saying what's the difference between a P.A.F. from a 1959 Les Paul made on a Tuesday at 11:00 vs. one made on Friday at 4:30. There's supposed to be no difference if you asked Gibson in 1959. They were the same pickup. But we know they're not. They're all like snowflakes. Then add in the infinite variables of 60+ years of aging and even two hypothetically dead equal DNA clones of one another from 1959 could sound quite different today in an A/B test.

Well, my joke was intentionally horrible. I decided last night I was going to make obscure references and see if anyone got them. Barney Stinson wasn't an obscure reference. Chip Chipperson was. I don't even know if you'll be able to understand that reference after Googling it.
And I'm not proud that I know who Barney Stinson is. My sister-in-law roped me into watching the show in its first season, and I have stupidly stuck with it even though it's been about two years since I actually laughed at it.

having fans are one thing...but getting recognized and acknowledged by your peers and by the industry itself is something completely different. In that regard, he really does deserve a whole lot of accolades. Maybe it's because the music industry as a whole doesn't give a crap about blues anymore.

He does deserve much more than he gets in that sense. I do agree there, but the way he put it it sounded a bit immature. I'm sure if he would have waited 10 minutes before hitting the "post" button and let his head cool off a bit he would have written the same thing in a much more mature manner and I would have completely agreed with him. You can tell from the details of how he wrote the post he was letting his emotions get the best of him.
I know, he's a musician, not a saint and I shouldn't expect him to act like one...but it does rub me the wrong way. I do think he's one bad mutha on the gueetar fo' sho anyways.

Sometimes we all get down and out, feel underappreciated, and useless. Happened to me just the other day. But all my friends would call me a p*ssy if I posted something that emo on my facebook. That's also because most of my friends are metalheads who have a fierce affinity for macho masculinity. Whatever.
