and I thought we might get Iceman'd on the pics! HA!!!
definitely nickel. I'm indifferent as tyo the Grovers or Schallers. Whole Lotta Humbucker is an excellent choice! Might as well go all the way and do Page switching too.
awesome looking guitar, by the way! Congrats!!!!

Why is this in THE SOUND ROOM?!!!
" you tell it like you're barefoot while you wear those hundred dollar shoes. Yeah, you can shuck and jive me all ya want to but, please please please, don't tell me 'bout the blues!"......Buddy Guy

Don't worry about Grovers OR Schallers until you get it back with that new nut. Also try something like Big Bends nut sauce on the slots. Odds are, the problem doesn't/didn't lie with the tuners, but the nut slots.
By the way what's with the Orpheo stuff ?. Must be sone joke us new guys don't get![]()

Collecting today
WLH's now fitted...on the way home to warm them up. Tried them in the store and sounded stunning
WOW £1800 for a les Paul standard or £450 for the Burny with WLH's........no contest. Don't care where this was made...build quality is outstanding.
Total deal. Guitar £500 includind new had fitted bonne nut, WLH's £200, new Grover 18:1's, both PUP's coil split and out of phase with push pull £160.
This is A KEEPER

That guitar looks cool, glad you're enjoying it.
That shop has some nice looking Corts too. Did you try any of those at all?
Gibson, PRS, Fender, Patrick Eggle, BC Rich, Gordon Smith, Jackson, Ibanez and Home-built Guitars.
Splawn Quick Rod, Soldano SLO Clone, Marshall JCM800, Matamp + old Carlsbro amps, Zilla and Award Session speaker cabs.
Mainly HomeBrew Electronics and G2D FX, plus a few other.
My local shop and Seymour Duncan Dealer: http://www.crazytrainmusic.co.uk

I had one of those. Great guitar! I was lucky that mine had already had the pups swapped (59b/Jazzn) so I don't really know what the stockers sound like. I wasn't a fan of the 59b. I tried a USA L500L (not XL). It was a bad choice. That's all I can offer lol.
Oh-and it didn't stay in tune that well because of the cheap nut with poorly cut slots, not the tuners. They're perfectly functional.

Nice looking guitar, man. All you have to do now is take off that ****ing scratchplate.
Every love that made me lose my reasoning. Every chord that made my conscience ache. Every day spent counting hours. Well, none of them comes close to singing back a song inside my head.
I remember calloused hands and paint-stained jeans, and I remember safe-as-houses self-belief.

Well been playing with my new muse.......outstanding, outstanding guitar. Plays better than a lot of Les Paul's I've played...not all but a lot. The Whole Lotta Humbuckers are JUST STELLA..I'll try and get some audio posted over the weeken.
Had the new bone nut fitted as I said...seemed like a sensible thing to do.
Flat I had the EMAP and phase push/pull pots and wiring done.....now just going to enjoy
