Has anyone ever seen or heard a guitar with this combination?
I'm also interested in ash as a body wood.
how would this turn out?

I've never seen a mahogany neck on an alder or swamp ash body, but I think fretboard material has more impact on the tone than the neck wood does. What are you thinking for the fretboard?

Music Man JP.. some model.
I also saw mahogany body with maple neck.![]()

Gibson Voodoo's had ash bodies with mahogany necks.

Indeed, one of the JP's had that config. But i heard from my luthier that you shouldn't mix very different woods together.
Also in the Suhr site, it suggests that Mahogany necks go better with Mahogany bodies.
Only one way to find out.......![]()

i had an ash strat with mahogany warmoth neck. sounded really cool

My Godin is as close to that combo as it gets... the body is mostly soft maple with some poplar in the sides... the neck is an LGX Mahogany neck... it freakin rocks!
