Stumbled across this picture... man I love me some goldtops...
Only you can decide what "good" sounds like!
"I learned a long time ago that one note can go a long way if it's the right one, and it will whip the guy with twenty quick notes." ~Les Paul

If you play guitar chest-high, you play from your heart.
If you play guitar waist-high, you play from your guts.
If you play guitar low, you play from your huevos.
I've wanted to get the top of my Traditional Pro redone as a GT since the day I bought it. Sooooooooooo classy.
nice! I would love a goldtop with p90s!
our first drummer died in a bizzare gardening accident!
I won't dance in a club like this,
'Cause all the girls are sluts,
And the beer tastes just like piss.
Wish I had this bad boy back.
My songs....enjoy! (hopefully )
or for older stuff too, but slower downloads
my only goldtop is a pimped out xaviere xv-550 lp style semi hollow. it's got a set of fralin pure paf's along with new pots, caps, output jack, etc. Threw on a bone nut and did setup work (frets cleaned up in a few places, saddles filed and radiused, etc).
Fralins? I've only heard them as single coils. How do the HB's sound?
I love them too.
Me too !
As cool as the gold top itself is (especially with the cream WCR's), its the back that really stands out on this one. Its perfect, Gibson should make them like this instead of that light caramel color.
that dark back is killer!!
I was never big on goldies. I once got a great deal on a gt LTD EC400 and the color really grew on me.. I wish I had her back.. Here is my current goldilocks:
Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.
