Default No love for Boo Buckers?

Just saw this in the news section (yes, so I'm a bit slow!) and thought it looked pretty cool. Did a search and nothing came up.

So question: did anyone get one (or two) of those? How'd you like it? Maybe post a pic and what model did you go for?

Thinking, if this would optically fit in an 80s style Strat (Maple board, neon-pink body), istead of the black buckers I have in right now.

Ah-ha. Did anyone even buy any? I think it's cool, but how many people can use orange pickups legitimately?

Might look cool in an orange Charvel, or TLD's RG.

Isn't the Boo Bucker just a customer spec'd pickup wound in the custom shop but with orange bobbins?

I thought it was any production model in that bobbin color?

Ed I dont really know. I just figured if MJ was winding in the custom shop you could spec out anything you wanted.

yeah my understanding was that it was basically any pickup you wanted only with orange bobbins. I don't think they are supposed to sound like anything until you pick which type of pickup you want.

It could be a Jazz or it could be a Distortion, it just depends. Personally I don't really like orange or have a place to put them that wouldn't look completely strange so I'll stick with double cream, zebra, or nickel covered humbuckers

Yes, it's any custom shop model you want, just in orange (which I think is pretty cool).
If anyone has pics, I'd love to see em. The pic from Duncan website is great - but I'd love to see an unprocessed pic

    I like em.

I would've gotten a new guitar just to put em in.

Maybe a Cleveland Browns theme or a black Halloween themed guitar.

    Hell yeah.

You've gotta read the not so fine print.

Looks like it's an orange '78, or possibly any other custom.
