I believe so. Sounds like it could be awesome. Same PG flavor with a slightly smoother top end?

I'm curious to see how the 59/C hybrid sells. I have one of the first ones Bach to Rock made, and have used it for years. I also like Brobuckers, which are a tiny bit less tight, but have a bit more richness.

Then, in order of output and feel - Unoriented roughcast Custom 5, Custom 5, Custom.

It's for a warmoth jazzblaster I'm finishing up. Alder body finished with nitro. Hardtail bridge. Maple neck with rosewood fretboard and I need a p90 for the neck too. Should be awesome

I have my 59/C in an alder/rosewood Am. Std. Strat, and see no reason to remove it.

I've always liked 59's and Custom 5's, and this one is the middleground. I've got 3 Brobuckers too. They're all good, but $74 is a lot better than $180. I like the unoriented Custom 5 too, so I'm tempted to try and duplicate the new 35th Ann JB's by putting a roughcast mag in one, and see if I like the difference.

When it comes to Alnico 5 humbuckers, the ones I listed are all my personal favorites.
    For A2, it's Seths, PG's, Ants, BB1/2, and 57 Classics.

Yeah 9.2 A2 must be the magic combo. I'd love to try something A2 in the bridge someday. I'd love to try some Seth's.

I'm thinking about trying an antiquity p90 in the neck with something around 10-11k in the bridge. Leaning towards the hybrid if I can get my hands on one

Ive been thinking about a PG for my Paul for a while, but then Ed reminded me how badass the Custom is. One pickup I have been interested in for a while now is the Brobucker, too. I kinda wonder if a Bro with a small ceramic magnet would have that vintage sweetness with some more of the Custom's muscle.

It gets close to that with the stock mag the bro is very even/balanced in tone with the cermaic it takes on a more up front aggressive tone but still has some sweetness to it

The more I think of it, the more I think it's what I need. Izzo said the BIG ceramic Bro was like a Super D dressed in an armani suit, so the small ceramic must be at least as good as a Super D in a nice pair of slacks.

One of my main stage guitars has a Duncan custom in it and I really like it, BUT I want something similar but with slightly less "balls" for an alternate guitar without changing my amp settings.

Would you say that the brobucker or the hybrid would be better? Or something else maybe?
The hybrid is a strange beast, I didn't like it. If you want a safe bet the Brobucker is better.
