Little plug for the Alt 8..
I have a Washburn 24 that is a stellar axe. I put a Jazz/Alt8 combo in it and it sounds huge. The thing that impressed me the most the other day when I was playing, is that I was playing thru my PV classic 30 and the other guitars de jour delivered a good classic rock tone, the Alt8 really drove that beasty.. Was very cool.
Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.

I've been meaning to try one of those! Always happy with my Sh-6's but I'd like to try one in my Explorer.....

I haven't tried an Alt8 yet. I've been afraid that it may be too mid-rangey and tend to sound muddy. I'm extremely happy with my C5/59 hybrid however.

I despise the Alt 8 in my SG. I loved the tone of every alnico 8 magnet pickup I've ever tried except for that one. I may have a Custom 8 in it soon though, can't wait.
