I am saving to replace a section of wood fence.

Look at it this way, I've lost my fortune twice since I've been on this forum. I'm looking at a ranch type setting now, but tht takes $$$ and what better way to save, than to lilive in a reduced financial burden. I pay $600/month for the slip in the marina, when I finish installing this head & tank I'll move out on a mooring for free, therefore everynickle that doesn't go for insurance, mantaniance, & food, gets saved. Can u think of a cheaper way to do this?

When I was 21 years old and was married and had a child I worked in a boat factory. The part of the plant I worked in built 15 - 17 ft. boats. Those are the only boats I knew anything about and I've had plenty of time to forget. I don't mean that in a negative way. I learned what I needed to know to get my job done and have had no use for that knowledge for many years.

I sincerely hope your plan works out well for you!

    Thanks brother,
I see no reason that it won't work. We'll do this for a while, while looking for a land base with a little property for the dogs & hopefully a few horses

My first thought was,... why? Is yours available?
But to respond like that would be childish & immature.

I would have gone with "stupid" (mainly because I am not married), but sure, childish and immature works too.

So ... since you are claiming to be an expert on the subject, can you tell us how a man acts?

We have 2 completely different lifestyles, I admire & respect yours, I certainly envy it when I'm down & ou,t It's safe; But like you said about your former employer I'm a risk taker, I work without a net. Don't get me wrong, I'm not always partying or playing, I always Work my ass off & I live very close to the bone. I live a binge & purge lifestyle, I'll scrounge & scrape for a year or so then I'll live like a king for a while completely enjoying life, but now that I quit drinking, the only bad habit I have is smoking & that will be gone soon, the $$$ will pile up faster. You have to bet big to win big

Something else i'd like to add, the purpose of thread to begin with.
Despite whatever matt thinks I'm not bragging, everyone else talks about where they live IE... house, apartment; I talk about my boat. You need to work on your fence, I put a bilge pump & float switch this weekend, now I'm putting a holding tank & macerater pump, it's not not any different.
