We invite you to join our friends from Musician's Institute on Saturday, March 10 in honoring the one-year anniversary of the Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami. The Jam for Japan Benefit Concert will feature a headlining performance by Elan Atias, backed by a full band performing original work and songs by The Wailers and an acoustic appearance by Dave Wakeling, performing classic hits by The English Beat and General Public and an All-Star Jam band featuring surprise guests! Beginning at 6 p.m. at the Musician’s Institute Concert Hall (1655 N. McCadden Place in Hollywood), 100% of proceeds from the Jam for Japan benefit concert will benefit music education grants for eligible schools in the Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima Prefectures of Northern Japan.
Visit Musicians Institute prior to the benefit concert for The Jam for Japan Awareness Festival, which will take place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Musicians Institute (Parking Lot on Hawthorne Avenue, between Highland Avenue and McCadden Place). The event promises fun for all with food Trucks, Taiko Drum Performances, screen printing by Southern California based Hit + Run Crew and a unique piece of 3D Illusion Art provided by internationally recognized street painter, Tracy Lee Stum.
