Default Went in for a 9V battery ...

True story. I ran across the street from rehearsal @ Ultrasound NYC to 30th St Guitars for a 9V battery, saw this guitar and the price was right, so I just had to have it.

Kevlar3000 has been saying I need a Strat for my style of music, and I can't say he was wrong. I'm loving it. Neck plays like a DREAM.

It is a MIJ strat ...

I've always liked that colour scheme on a Strat.

I still can't think of you as a single coil Strat player though!

thats gorgeous!! Im sure its killer too! I have a MIJ Squier strat. I paid VERY little for it and I rarely look at other strats..
Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.

9V batteries are also available at grocery stores where there is minimal risk of accidentally buying a guitar.

Groovy. I really liked my old two-piece big-headed Strat neck. I think it was a Warmoth. I sold it, and regret it every now and then.

    Thanks!

This one comes up '85-86, which really impresses me, as it is MINT, aside from a small ding at the end of the headstock!

Nice score Ben. Those old MIJs are great instruments.

What pups you gonna put in it?
I'm an internet person. All we do is waste time evaluating things that have next-to-zero real world significance.

    You are welcome.

Are you sure it is a MIJ serial number? Or is it a CIJ (significantly newer)?

    Very cool!

A Strat is a must have IMO...it's not a must use all the time by a long shot in my book but every real picker needs a Strat close by!

Thanks. Not really sure. The guitar sounds good as-is so I will keep it stock until I can think of something. The only mod I can think of doing right now is to swap out the white pup covers for black, but the pups are set up SOOO well, I don't wanna lose the mojo!
