    Default Seymour Duncan DM

    Hello !
I've got a ESP V-II (I bought all body without pickups for half price ... ) and I'm wondering to get these pickups ...
What do you think about them ? I found that they are a active version of JB and sh2. I liked the passive ones - especially JB. But I'm searching to find the pickups with the same character as JB and sh but with more kick. And I'm guessing that they will fit very well.

Anyone had them ? And what about that some of components are Korean or China ( info on the plastic package) ?

The nearest thing that I have to SD Mustaine or Blackout pickups is the Live Wire Classic II. All three of these designs share many of the same components. Never had any problem with mine.

I have LWC2s in an LTD EC401w. Through cranked valve amplification, these give a decidedly Gibson flavour, reminiscent of Randy Rhoads' LP Custom. For extra bridge/Treble pickup rip, I would fit a Blackout 2 and add a switch to exploit its output level jumper connection.

I have the original Livewire 18 volt & thought it sounded kinda like the JB but i think the Livewire II is the same as that but 9 volt.

Yes. Some of the components in SD active pickups and Triple Shot mounting surrounds are MIC…

…and, yet, they work perfectly well.

Just imagine. You run your own business. You have spent about forty years building a good reputation. How likely are you to suddenly do something to undermine that reputation just to keep prices down?
