can I use my Amps 3 channel Footswitch within my Effects pedals?

Ok so Is it possible to use my amps 3 channel footswitch within my effects pedals so that when I want my Clean channel on my amp I can click that channel on my amps footswitch, and then turn on my clean effects preset on the effects footswitch? (a voodoo labs 4 channel switcher)......

Your best bet is to use an fx switcher that also does channel switching; problem solved!

It depends exactly what you are wanting to do.

I made one myself that is in need of LEDs which ill put in at some point



This is very simple it has 2 loops one for clean & one for dirty.

I usually use a chorus/comp in the clean and a TS/EQ in the dirty loop

and it switches the channel on the amp whilst switching between the loops.

Basically what Im wanting from my setup in an Ideal world is:


I have my Amp - I will only ever use its highest gain channel and its clean channel


Im wanting some sort of footswitch that stores things (like the Voodoo Lab 4 channel switcher etc)

Rhythm tone - I will want a Chorus pedal with Noise gate going to channel 1 on footswitch - using highest gain channel on amp

Lead tone - Want Chorus, Digital Delay, noise gate, phase 90, and digial reverb going to channel 2 on footswitch - Still using the same channel on my Amp

Clean tone - using all the same effects as above /\/\ but on my Amps Clean channel instead of its highest gain channel going on channel 3 in the footswitch

Channel 4 in the Footswitch I was thinking have just the Tuner on mute or whatever so I can tune in silence

thats pretty much my Ideal setup. The Voodoo lab switchers that do amps and store pedal combinations seem expensive...unless Im looking at the wrong ones?......now peeps can see exactly what Im after can anyone actually suggest what Switcher i would actually need? Ahh with the way you are wanting to use things it makes it a fair bit more complex rather than just having loops assigned per channel.

that looks good but it doesnt seem to be able to store more than 3 pedals per channel?....which would throw out my Clean/Lead tone Ideas?....If it had 5-6 buttons in the middle I would be laughing lol

Yep the G lab does absolutely everything you could want really,

You can expand it too with pressure sensitive wah pads and extra loops etc.

The fact that it can power your pedals too is a great bonus.

I must of missed that...It powers pedals WOW where can I buy lol.....and can take 7 pedals which is all I need plus If i did want more I can do the extra loops like you said

the only place ive seen them for sale is Thomann.

I really should buy one of these myself it will give me an excuse to build more pedals

Its £350 which is alot but should never need anything else again. Controls the Amp channels, Can store 100x presets, it powers all the Pedals, it can take 7 pedals........It sounds great actually. Ticks so many boxes

The 2 is a bit cheaper but looks like crap! it probably has less options too.

If you compare that to the competition such as the gig rig the G lab is ridiculously cheap

yeah I saw that and thought it looked terrible in comparison. And your right the top end Voodoo lab stuff is REALLY PRICEY lol....so this will do all I need for 1/3 of the price at least

Im also thinking of getting something like the Behringer PB1000 to fit all this in too...keep it nice and neat. That case does actually have the means to power the pedals too and everything can go through the pedal board case too....or If that cant/wont work with the GSC3 then just leave the case out of the chain I guess and only use it to store this in - http://www.behringer.com/assets/PB10...ective_XXL.jpg - Footswitch along the bottom, pedals along the top
