Ive used, (and like) the suhr aldrich in the bridge position. Ive not tried the neck one. How is it? can you compare it to anything? 59? Im thinking about a set for an lp thanks

Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.

It's a bit like the PGn. a bit hollow in the mids. not really creamy, just very clear. I don't like it so much. I prefer the 59b in the neck. creamy and clear and articulate at the same time. another GREAT neckpickup which is like the 59b is the jazzB. want more mids? jazzB uoa5. more output and more mids? alnico8. more output and not more mids? thin ceramic (not recommended, can't imagine a bridgepickup needing that much output for a neckpickup but ok).
I have the Aldrich set in a pair of LPs. I recall someone saying that the Aldrich neck pickup was actually a DSH bridge O.o but I haven't confirmed this. As Orpheo mentioned, it's very clear. I like that the Aldrich set walks that line between vintage and modern, and if you like the Aldrich bridge, you would probably like the neck.

Gravity...its just a theory

my favorite les paul set. neck is right around 9k with A5 mag. it has kind of a tight bass repsonce with smooth highs and good mids. Super Sexy liquid lead solo tone.
Not boomy or mid scooped like the '59. I like to think of the aldrich set like a super hot, super tight AIIP set.

hmm may have to try the set. nervous about spending the cash to try it tho.
