Default Daylight Savings is kicking my@$$

What dillhole invented this? I can't for the life of me think of a reasonable excuse for this BS anymore.

Let's just split the difference, set back 30 minutes and leave it the eff alone!

I challenge anyone to give me a LEGIT reason for this that i can't debunk.

That WOULD fly except since the electric light was added to the John Deere tractor....nope. And planting takes as much time as harvesting...so FAIL.

I love it and wish it would stay forward year round. If you have anything to do during regular "Business" hours, it gives you so much more daylight in the evening to do things.

I believe I heard that scientists or whoever controls time and space said that they might consider doing away with DST.

What if statistically, 2000 more children per year died being struck by automobiles while walking to school in the dark? And both your kids were amongst them? How 'bout that?

But yeah, forget about the dead children and school bus fires. You need your extra hour in the evening.

Joking aside, hasn't that been the argument for it? Sounds like nonsense some woman made up.

I thought that was "normal" time. Isn't DST during the summer for the extra daylight in the afternoon?

I agree that daylight saving time isn't really useful or practical.

I do see some use for it. When there's only a few daylight hours a day the difference can be great. I suppose it matters less the closer you get to the equator.

That analogy is terrible. What really happens is the blanket moves during the year. During the summer it will shift upwards and cover our faces so we can't see the TV, but leave our feet out in the cold. If we cut a foot off the top and sew it onto the bottom, then we're perfectly covered. When it shifts down so that our upper torso is left uncovered there's an extra foot below our feet that isn't being used. We just cut that foot off and sew it back on to the top.

Anyone that has any sort of outside, after work activity benefits from DST. Nights are not only darker and colder, but more buggy. You could use lights, but those aren't free and they attract more bugs.

I think it is positively hilarious (as in actually hilarious, no snark intended) that the government of the USA actually got their hands on and meddled with what time it is
