I like DST. Im not concerned w/ extra daylight for more productivity/less crime, i prefer when it gets dark early (so im happy when its over, & the sun-in-eyes/driving East thing 4x bugs me too-) soI'll be damned if the sun is gonna rise at 3:30 am in the summer- that would be too much. Thank u DST.
And clearly, come October, fewer people have been whining about going home at nite since it got extended. Those same people probably dont want to get to work in the dark at 9a.m.

IT DOES NOT CREATE EXTRA DAYLIGHT; not in the evening, not in the morning, not any time!

If you want to go to work early and get out of work early, WORK THAT OUT WITH YOUR BOSS.

You are taking the approach of someone who has only been on a first shift schedule. Have you ever worked second shift or night shift? Daylight saving time only benefits people who a) work first shift b) want to get out of work earlier in the summer, and c) want to be active outside during that time.

Unless all three apply, DST really is of no benefit.

Ok. So half a dozen yoyos on a guitar pickup forum, are going to pick apart something they don't understand & come up with a better way.

Hey--DST or not-I don't care--I just don't like changing back & forth--that's my issue--and visibility driving east int he morning is one of my concerns, as I posted earlier.

So pick standard time or Daylight savings--and stick with it--that's my preference.

I really love DST, as the light is shifted 1 hour toward the evening - great for my MTB and road riding - especially after work.

If you do nothing outdoors then I can see it wouldn't do anything apart from shake up the circadian rhythms.

Thanks for bringing that up. I actually like leap year. Using the normal counting method I would be 63 years old, but when you factor in that 16 of those years were lept over I'm really only 47.

Oddly enough, I'm not talking out of my ass on this one . . . there really is a single China time zone:

I can only assume that the rest of the world has supported time zones and DST so that they aren't called communists and likened to China . . . since that's how most political debates seem to end these days. :P

    That's the attitude!

Adapt & overcome! U got the attitude, find a way to use it to your advantage instead of whining about.
