They're not bad with some homeade sweet and sour sauce...still not as good as fresh.

How did you prepare them?

I've always used fresh ones, and the only thing I know to do with 'em is to roast them with olive oil, salt and pepper.

How else can one prepare beets?

Harvard Beets. ..
You peel aand slice them...then boil them almost soft...then add sugar and vinegar...stir to dissolve.then thicken with a little cornstarch slurry. Salt and pepper...serve warm in the resulting glaze.

Too true they are to be enjoyed and they are also a health benefit too as a root veggie .

That's odd , I have never associated the taste of that with beets no more than that of a potato or onion , but I'm cool with your assessment , must be a bummer for that to happen , if I tasted that I guess I would not eat them .

Like onions beets have a high amount of sugar , to myself and many others beets have a delicious sweet taste .
