    Default YES!

I'm happy to say I have a set of pickups coming my way!

This is going to be an adventure, it's going to be my first complete re-wire.

    +1

Knowing what type of pickup you are going to install into which guitar gives everyone here a far clearer idea of what may be involved. If there are any pitfalls, somebody will probably forewarn you.

For instance, I suggest making a schematic diagram of the current wiring in your guitar BEFORE you desolder or cut anything. If all else fails, you can always restore everything to stock.

    If he's doing a full rewire, I'm guessing it's a Blackout set.

Nope. That's actually what came out. In the bridge will be a 59/custom hybrid and the neck will be a 59. Both will have hex poles put in, and a mag swap on each (Not a fan of alnico 5 in the neck). I may or may not add a coil-split option.

A4 for the neck, I haven't decided what to use for the bridge, probably a8 or triple ceramic.

The UOA5 works wonders for the hybrid in the bridge.

I don't know, what I'm really looking for in the bridge is tight with lots of guts. I think I am going to try an A8 first.

An A8 should be just what you want. Let us know when you get them in.
